E ink Crams Screen into Tip of Snowboard

Cool but not very cool.

E ink has some cool tech, and its screens have turned up in everything from eReaders to watches over the years. The cool thing about its screens is that they have tons of contrast and are easy to read in direct sunlight. They also use little power so the battery in the device using the E ink screen can last longer.

Sunshine Village Ski and Snowboard Resort: Record Snow May Allow Canada Day Opening

Wow, Snowboard Season starting in Canada...

BANFF, ALBERTA--(May 8, 2011)

Record-breaking snowfalls at Sunshine Village in the winter of 2011 could mean the first July 1 opening for the resort in more than 20 years.

April saw a total of 150 cm of snowfall, smashing the previous number of 138 cm recorded in 2008 and double the April average. It the most snow in Sunshine's 41 years of record-keeping.

Bon Hiver: Shred everywhere….

Interesting "strap-in-step-out bindings" concept from Bon Hiver (which is French for Good Winter) to allow snowboarding 'everywhere' with reduced 'setup time'.

Angry Snowboarder doesn't like them very much and think it's a revamped BURTON concept - but some of his readers think they could be great - so make sure to check out the comments below his review to get a 'full picture'.  I tend to agree with the guys from Bon Hiver that you can always try to improve and that the next winter season will probably show how these are in 'real life'

Yes, and check out Bon Hiver's page on TUMBLR for some more info and photos.
We will let you know when they are available and post a review later….let's see how they go!
