San Bernardino firefighter wants to set snowboard record

"When he told me he's doing this for charity, I was totally on board,"

Between snowboarding and firefighting, Jason Buchanan has done some remarkable things in his life.
But what the Beaumont man plans to do Saturday is one for the record books. At least, that's the way he hopes it turns out.
Buchanan, 38, wants to establish a world record this weekend in Mammoth Lakes by being towed on a snowboard by a snowmobile traveling around 100 mph for at least 100 meters.
