Four to enter Intermountain Ski Hall of Fame

Membership in the Intermountain Ski Hall of Fame increases to 50 on Thursday, when the 10th class of honorees is inducted at the Alf Engen Ski Musem at Utah Olympic Park.

This year’s inductees include three Utahns — groundbreaking freestyle skier Bob Theobald, Utah County ski pioneer Raymond Stewart and Alta Mayor William Levitt — as well as Kit DesLauriers, a freeskiing and mountaineering leader from Wyoming.

The Hall of Fame honors ski and snowboard racers, industry innovators and developers in Utah, Idaho and Wyoming. Selections were made by a committee from the University of Utah J. Willard Marriott Library Ski Archives.

Their plaques will be displayed at the museum, which has attracted 1.2 million visitors since opening in 2002. Read More
